The Unseen “So this is Freedom?” - A-F Records. No this is not the same AF (American Frequency) Records that brought you the anonymous and notorious Ghost Rider 7” a decade ago, it’s from the good folks that bring you Anti Flag. In other words, fast, furious punk rock from the Northeast. This one is a half-hour disc that passes in much less than 30 minutes. In between the anthem-like choruses such as “Stand up and fight,” and “Greed is a disease,” The Unseen give you lyrics (easier to understand with they liner notes in front of you) that you’d expect from a mohawk’ed crew like this: “What the hell are we supposed to do?/Violence and despair are threat to destroy the youth./Everyday on the news more murder more rape./We’re living in a dying world from which there’s no escape.” And “You were a violent drunk and now ‘your’ dead and gone./You were ruining my life the damage has been caused./On the day of your funeral my life was reborn.” If this disc doesn’t make you move, and/or move you, either there’s something wrong with you, and/or you can’t - same difference. Dig out that red-leather jacket you tried to forget and be sure to wait for the bonus track
