TSOL “Disappear” Nitro Records. Billed as one of the best punk bands of the 80s, TSOL recorded this one with the original line up, if I scanned the bio correctly. They’re on the road now, mostly in California and Texas during the months of February and March 2002. (East coast roads suck this time of year and filling a fair-sized punk venue can be tough here, let alone finding one). The CD intros with a Stewart Smalley-esque motivational pep talk then slams into “Sodomy” whose tempo assures this is So-Cal punk. I prefer the simpler “In My Head” with vocals crammed out so fast, Joey Ramone would be proud “I’m sick of politicians. sick of institutions, sick of everything they stand for, sick of religion ... decisions ... lies ... crimes.
